Patrick & Erin: A Swiss Alps Wedding

As I seem to subtly state in each blog post these days, I am terrible at keeping up on blogging. We have SO many fabulous weddings this year to share but are fighting for the opportunity to do so. We've been excited to share this wedding we shot this summer in Switzerland for some time now and the day has finally arrived! These two were married in a tiny little village in the heart of the Swiss Alps in an ancient church and yours truly (that'd be me and Jonathan) travelled halfway across the world to capture the nuptials.

Let me just preface: Erin & Patrick are adventurers. We were particularly pleased with this trait of theirs when we heard the predictions of rain. To say it rained a bit, is beyond an understatment. We are not talking of a dainty sprinkle or a dusting of rain, but rather torrential downpour. DOWNPOUR. Nevertheless they were troopers and even allowed us to photograph them outside amidst the disagreeable (to put it nicely) weather. I haven't quite been able to piece together why these photos don't reflect the floods pouring down from heaven--- but trust me, they were there. Yet, I quite feel the rain added a rustic romance to their day... what do you say?

Ben & Michelle: A Lilac & Lemonade Grand Wailea Wedding

Ben & Michelle were one of the most genuine couples we've ever met. From the start, their overwhelming appreciation for art and beauty confirmed we were a match made in heaven. Michelle is "that" girl with the infectious smile and Ben's disposition would win anyone's heart. Perhaps we are partial, but I'm not sure it's possible to look through these images and not fall in love with this couple.

Here's to a fabulous team of vendors:

Jennifer & Joe at the Haiku Mill

You may recognize these two from their engagement session a few posts back. This beautiful couple planned a destination wedding in Maui to celebrate their new life together. Their traditional ceremony was followed by a Chinese Tea Ceremony with the exchanging of tea, jewelry and lucky red envelopes. We loved the incredible honor upheld in this tradition of serving their elders tea. The entire day with three dresses, two ceremonies and one couple was nothing short of enchanting.

Magazine & Wedding Blog Features

I'm just now realizing how long its been since I've done a "featured" post. I'm happy to share that since my last post we've been featured in 3 magazines and have more on the way!

Thanks to all of you, our image was voted "readers choice" for the final page of the Pacific Weddings Magazine. We were so honored and humbled by all of your efforts to take the time to vote us in. To top it all off, Pacific Weddings featured one of our weddings in their real weddings section.
