The ladies of Belle Destination

I love the ladies of Belle Destination Weddings & Events. Not only are Jane & Lena beautiful and a ton of fun, but they also put on spectacular events. Their wedding company has been so successful here on the islands that they have now expanded to California. We got together to take some promotional shots for their new website (coming soon), and took some just for fun while we were at it! Look at these gorgeous girls...

Lara Jade Workshop: Day 2

Let me just be downright honest: my process of elimination completely failed for this post. This was the second day of the Lara Jade Lighting Workshop in Maui. The sunset shoot was particular my forte because, as we all know, I'm obsessed with light.

It was amazing to see all the work that goes on behind the scenes in fashion photography, thanks to a great team!

By the way, I have been experimenting with a new template on my blog which apparently lessens the quality of my images. Hopefully from here on out my images will be pleasing to the eyes and not painful as I will be returning to the "old" way of doing things :)

Lara Jade Workshop: Day 1

I was so blessed to have the opportunity to partake in the lighting workshop of the incredibly talented Lara Jade. I came across Lara's work many years ago, which is crazy because she is only 21! Yes, she is THAT good. What first intrigued me about her work were her stunning self portraits. She actually inspired me in my own self portrait (with the scarf, which most of you are familiar with). Lara is a London based fashion photographer recently relocated to NYC. Her talent and unbelievable beauty and charm have paved a way for her to go down in history as one of the best. It was so awesome to have my first workshop with someone who has inspired me for years. And best of all, though others traveled from around the world, we got to welcome her on our little island of Maui.
