Amir & Laleh: An Upcountry Maui Bridal Shoot

Have I mentioned we love shooting ethnicity & exotic beauties? These two Persian lovebirds could not have had a sweeter disposition. This handsome couple had an intimate and private ceremony in the states and then proceeded to fly all the way to Hawaii to have a photoshoot with Tamiz! We were truly honored and enjoyed every second of it.

Styling & Coordination: Melissa Padilla of Belle Destination Weddings & Events
Venue: The Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center

A Marie Antoinette Inspired Shoot at the Haiku Mill

A while back we had the opportunity to work with an INCREDIBLE team of vendors on a Marie Antoinette inspired bridal shoot. Outlets like this allow us all to come together, meet some incredible talent and best of all to use our creativity without limits! This shoot was so much fun to plan and it came together just perfectly in the secret garden setting of the Haiku Mill. One of our favorite parts of this shoot was the floor length tiered pettiskirt--- it was love at first sight. Another highlight was the cake made entirely of flowers! And how incredible is that hair? We are planning our next styled shoot and can't wait to share our next creative vision with you all. But for now, enjoy some eye candy...

A huge thanks to all the vendors involved:

Darren & Tabitha: A Day After Session at the Haiku Mill

Though I can't share their GORGEOUS wedding with you yet, Darren & Tabitha were the most lovely couple you could imagine. Documenting their love was so important to them that they scheduled a "day after" session at the Haiku Mill--- and we loved every second of it.

2011 Recap

As we began sorting through all of our weddings and other shoots this year, choosing one image from each, we ended up with over 100 images (which obviously means that we shot over 100 times this year..YAY)! To spare you from an excessively long blog post, we've decided to do our year end recap on all things wedding, bridal and love related. Here are some of our favorites.....

Zane & Amanda's Ethereal Shoot

This shoot was nothing short of magical. Zane and Amanda were hitched on 11.11.11 and wanted a "day after" shoot to document the first day of the rest of their lives. True Bliss Florals created the lovely flower Haku for our ethereal bride, which was accented with a delicate rose boutonniere. We half expected a fairy to pop out of the wood and float around sprinkling pixi dust.

Paul & Stephanie: A Bridal Shoot at the Haiku Mill

Paul & Stephanie planned a "Day After" shoot at the breathtaking grounds of the Haiku Mill--- needless to say it was everything we hoped for. There is something exceptionally romantic in capturing an intimate love in the Haiku Mill's Utopia--- an excellent way to begin the rest of one's life.

We were so excited about all the attention our that our post on Style Me Pretty received. We can't wait for the next time to collaborate with Countdown Events!

Betsey Johnson even tweeted about our shoot. Yes, THE Betsey Johnson. Our bride was wearing an adorable Betsey dress afterall.

Countdown Events at the Haiku Mill

We are so excited to finally share these images! For this jaw-dropping shoot at the Haiku Mill, Tamiz Photography coordinated with Soha of Countdown Events-- Vancouver's premier wedding and event company. As you can see between the adorable Betsey Johnson dress, Elsa Corsi broach, our flawless bride Kori with makeup by Jessica Waite, and all the other immaculate details... we were all ecstatic to be working on such a project. The beautiful floral spreads were custom designed by Bella Bloom and custom stationary all the way from Canada by Wintons. As you can see, Countdown Events specializes in coordinating immaculate events fit for a Queen. Don't forget to check out Creme de la Creme, their luxury annual bridal show.

Styled Shoot Featuring True Bliss Florals

We had the immense pleasure of working with True Bliss Florals on this shoot. Between the lovely wedding arch, gorgeous model and killer location... I don't think we could have asked for much more. We thrive off of doing stylized shoots such as these which allow us to be creatively free. We've already begun planning our next one!

Bridals at the Haiku Mill

I was thrilled to coordinate this Bridal Shoot at the Haiku Mill. If you haven't seen the Haiku Mill in person, you are missing out on an incredible experience. It is absolutely the most breathtaking wedding venue I have ever seen (you can see more images of the beautiful Haiku Mill HERE).

The bridal gown featured in this shoot is a one of a kind Tamara Catz dress. Her dresses are completely unique to the destination bride and so fitting for this lovely island. I love Tamara's take on gowns: the Bride is intended to wear the dress, as opposed to the dress wearing the Bride.

We had the very talented Della of Dellables design our "earthy" bouquet. I love how creative she got with it, from the succulents to the bamboo hemp in liu of ribbon (PS. the bouquet had quite a long after-life)

The cupcakes were delicious by the way. Cupcake Love is becoming the newest craze on Maui... they look beautiful and taste amazing.

A HUGE thanks to our lovely couple: Sara and Dan Kolp? Don't you think they are lovely?

Oh yeah... I had way too many favorites, so you may want to get comfortable.

Bridal Shoot

La la la la love. Between the beautiful models, amazing hair and scrumptious light, we had an amazing shoot. Obviously the blonde bombshell is my beloved sister Sara, her beauty does my job for me. You may recognize the fierce Janelle from her engagement shoot here, she has done quite a bit of modeling and I knew she would be the perfect brunette for the shoot. Lastly, my dear friend Amber, a long lost friend from highschool. I mean come on, is anyone questioning why I chose her? I think not (ahem... FABULOUS hair and natural beauty). Amber has the most adorable boutique in the world, the Paisley Peach, and I am totally jealous of her talent. If any of you buy one of the adorable little outfits she sells for your child, we can definitely arrange a corresponding photo shoot for quite a deal :) . Thanks to my amazing hair stylist Shannon, she whipped up their amazing hair in no time. You may also remember her from her past mother-daughter shoot. If you are looking for some amazing hair talent, she's your girl. Be looking for her upcoming shoot as well!
